My name is John, I've been a professional photographer for over a decade, and I live smack-bang in the middle of rural Northumberland with my wife, Christina; my two children, Arthur and Sybbie; and my dog, Treacle Toffee.

Most people, however, know me by a different name - The Grizzly Forager!

A couple of years ago, my life took an unprecedented turn when a few of my foraging photos and videos went mind-bogglingly viral, and I ended up with over 600k Followers across popular social media channels. With an ever-increasing community account, a book deal, a podcast, and countless events, shows and commercial partnerships to manage, things, as you may imagine, got a little bit hectic, so I had to take a little break from photography, but now that things have calmed down, I'm back again, with a new brand and a renewed love for taking wild, untamed family photos in the great outdoors. And of course, I still shoot weddings!

Well, what can I say about myself? I am definitely a bear at heart. I am rotund, hairy and fairly grumpy in the mornings. I love nature, being in the forest, foraging for mushrooms and teaching Arthur and Sybbie the ways of the wild. I have an axe, a kilt, and a beard. I love being around people, Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, and above all-else, I love bringing joy by taking and sharing photographs. It is a passion that has never left me, and I sincerely hope, never will.
